Introduction

Beginning with a simple proposal, two Indonesian students while in their doctoral program at TU Delf in collaboration with an Indonesian Navy who was in his duty at the OPCW in Den Haag, Netherland, willing to built hovercraft for Indonesian Navy. This team established themselves at 1995, consist of Dr.Ir. Leonardus Gunawan (Lecturer from ITB & doctoral student), Dr.Ir. Soerjanto Tjahjono (PT. Garuda & doctoral student), dan Admiral (Ret.) Dr. Dwi Nugroho, Msc (Defense Department & active officer at that time) has proposed their concept to some policy maker in homeland, specially among the Indonesian Navy to get support and sponsorship in building the military version hovercraft. The proposal also sent to PT. Admiral Line (Indonesian Navy company group), Director General of Matfasjasa of Defense Department and to BAIS ABRI (via Defense Attaché of Rrepublic of IIndonesia) but there no follow up for this proposal.

In the mid of 1996, when the Indonesian Ambassador for Netherland (Mr. Kadarisman) celebrating the Indonesian Navy Commander / KASAL, Admiral Arief Kushariadi, it was happened a dialogue between KASAL with Mr. Dwi Nugroho about the readyness to built a Hovercraft for Indonesian Navy. With "bless" he, after the time of that that team is more aggresively looks for sponsor to realize idea is intended, even also looking for opportunity to get help or soft loan from the Dutch Government. This effort continues as the return of Mr. Dwi Nugroho from his assignation, follow up by Dr. Gunawan and Dr. Soerjanto which has successfully finalizes their study, and then entangles various institutions and the side of private sector to realize the dream.

Some other party, in fact has also done research activity and developing of Hovercraft in Indonesia, which all runs separately and x'self, which then in the year 2002, joins in one research institution: SURYAWAN DINATA & FRIEND RESEARCH INSTITUTE. After through difficulties in looking after fund and cooperation with various party that is initialy is expected to be able to support produce of making Hovercraft, finally med of 2004 met some one that is very seriously wishful also for together realizes the dream and aspiration to build Hovercraft industry in Indonesia which purpose of initially was for the sake of the Indonesian Navy in maintaining fullness of Indonesian region, NKRI, but non closes also henceforth fulfills other requirement like for rescuing the accident of air transport at airport especially in finite radius of 5 mile from coast area, some requirement for archipelago area, SAR, etcetera.

As initial step, through establishing the company PT. HOVERINDO, successfully produces 5 ( five) unit of Hovercraft called lumba-lumba type ordered by the Indonesian Navy with haulage capacities 2 ton equally with 20 ( twenty) soldiers. All product has been finalized during 8 ( eight) month and 4 unit has been delivered in December 2005 while the other 1 last unit deliovered in mid of January 2006.

At year-end of 2006 cause of something or the other, the company PT. HOVERINDO cannot be continued and the dreamed of built and produces hovercraft is continued by using new company which so called PT. SUMBER DAYA PATRIATAMA (SDP). And successfully finalizes produce of hovercraft with capacities of 6-8 passengers for Local Gov. Boven Diguel, Papua, 2 unit and has been delivered. Along with development and the entry of some potensial investors, PT. SUMBER DAYA PATRIATAMA is developed to to become PT. SUMBER DAYA PRIMATAMANUSA, up to now.

As its development seeing that many potencies & resource that having ability to develop domestic product, PT. SUMBER DAYA PRIMATAMANUSA intends to render ability in the field of industrial and energy supply, either as investor and also as developer and also supplier of comp[onents that required in industrial area. Combination of this unique professional from this group yield best ability in giving clearness of opinion and fast services to the related stake holders. In acting we get settled financing support to facilitate to be professional solid entity.
